Pillar Pod and Banks Gauges

Has anyone installed this Pillar Pod with Banks Gauges for just street use? If so, what are you displaying? How hard/easy was the install?

I haven’t done the install yet, but I’m gonna reference this video when I do. Good luck with yours and provide feedback if you wouldn’t mind.

I actually saw some of the other posts, and an install video. Should have worded my question a little different. I am really interested in seeing what people are monitoring with the Banks gauges. I didn't really see that in any of the other posts, but I haven't read every one of them.

It’s really handy for monitoring ethanol content, that’s really the main reason I use it. But you can display up to 8 different pids at once. It’s a nice gauge.

I looked at the Banks website as this gauge set is really cool and I am considering using E85, but your pic shows ethanol content.

I didn't see that in the PIDs. Does it pull the data from the ECU and you can make custom displays ...or am I missing something?

I would like the Banks I Dash over the P3 and it looks like a wideband is enviable so the looks like pillar gauges are the way to go

E85 is ethanol (85%) so using the Banks to read the ethanol value will give you the actual percentage of ethanol in your fuel content at that particular time. Not all E85 is necessarily 85% ethanol, and E is very taxing to a fuel system. You can get most of the benefits of E by getting into the 50-60% range, which is where I run. So the gauge is very handy just for that value alone, never mind all the other ones you can see as well. Keep in mind any gauge will require that you add a flex fuel sensor that has been properly wired to the ECM, and tuned.

Yes, the Banks reads the data from the ECM in realtime. You can set from 2 to 8 values displayed at any one time, and you can customize what values you see.

Understand the need for the Flex Fuel Sensor and the 50% fuel mix radiation. It was when I looked at the PIDs for a 2019 6.2 liter engine I didn't see the ethanol content. But it does show up in the 2016 Camaro SS listing. Assuming the settings will be the same for the most part or does any know if the ECMs are different?
Thanks Joshinator99!

No problem, happy to help!

Both my 2017 SS and your 2019 ZL1 will both use the same ECM (E92A). The 2016 SS used the E92 which is just a little bit different.
