From what I understand Windows 10 will be a free upgrade for a majority of PC users. I've gotten used to Windows 8.1 and have no issues with it. I'll have to see Windows 10 in action July 29th to get a good idea of how much of an upgrade it will be.

Same here have windows 7, keep seeing free upgrade windows Icon in my toolbar. I may try on my home pc but I will leave our work ones with windows 7 and 8 cant afford the down time if its a $#it show.

Windows 8 as long as you used something like Classic Shell is a great OS. Windows 10 is supposed to bring the standard start menu back.

Also from benchmark testing it is a lot faster OS from the gaming standpoint. I will be running at the end of July so should know more then.

If you`re into gaming you`re going to need Windows 10 if you want to play games that use DX12. The only complaint I had with Windows 8.1 when I upgraded from 8 was that it wiped out my saved games I had playing Assassin's Creed 4 Black Flag, had to start all over from the beginning. I already have my copy of 10 reserved. If you`re not sure you need DX12 you may want to read this review.

I reserved my upgrade last night. From what I've seen so far it should be an improvement.

I have windows 7 on 3 computers in our household (7 ultimate on my PC, 7 home on my laptop, and 7 professional on my dad's girlfriend's laptop), and I have a windows 8.1 phone I may check out this 10 thing later but not til after I build my new desktop and upgrade the memory and hard drive size on my laptop.

I'm going to pass. They are keeping everything I dislike about W8 and on top of that it will not come with Windows Media Player (if you want to look at pics or videos you have to download a 3rd party program), will not support the playback of dvd's (so if you're use to watching movies on the go you're sol), and all updates for WX will be mandatory and automatic (right now if an update adds something you don't like or if an update messes something up you can undo the update and choose to never install it, not anymore with WX).

Win 10 is awesome. I've been running the tech preview for a while. It's what 8 should have been.
