Wow, hope you varied your speed and RPMs a lot on the drive home, 650 miles at a steady speed on cruise control would not be a good break in procedure...

It's fine. We varied quite a bit. A lot was highway but not at constant speeds, especially with all the traffic from Spring B and all the stops we make on a journey like that, I make it a point to stop often and stretch, drink (water) and pee. The car will be fine.

full exhaust. anyone else do headers and come within ounces of cutting that aluminum bar behind the oil pan that spans the cradle? i contained myself, but it was tough.

naturally the drivers side o2 was either factory cross threaded or installed with bad threads as it backed out about 2 turns and completely refused further extraction. yeah, the one directly under the last collector bolt. gotta wait until tomorrow to start it. 2” headers to 3” x and midpipe to 3” magnaflow 4x9s. i have a feeling it won’t be tame. i was surprised at how easily the header bolts (factory), plugs (ngk) and wires (msd) all went back on. kinda bummed i couldn’t use the factory wires. also surprised at all of the room under the cowl.
