Camaro stock tires work in winter?

Hi, I'm getting a 2021 V6 LT with the all-season tires and 20 inch rims. Are they ok for the dry winter roads? I won't be driving it when there is snow. Any body has experience on this?

BTW, I live in Toronto Canada where the temperature is at 14 - 28 F most of the time in winter.

I am from Toronto - I ordered a 2021 SS about a month ago. We don't get a ton of snow, but the issue is the temperature and the weather can be unpredictable. What if you get stuck in a snowstorm driving home from somewhere? could be an issue. I've never gotten winter tires for any of my cars, but I plan to for the Camaro.

Being in Toronto I'd say no way. I'm in Michigan and I didn't even chance it. You're really best off getting a dedicated winter setup

With a decent driver, all seasons should be OK for mild winter conditions. It obviously isn’t going to be the ideal setup, nor as good as a dedicated winter set.

If it were me, I would see how I feel after driving in winter conditions a time or two and go from there. Nobody is going to know your situation as well as you.

I'm from Quebec, and I highly recommend to have dedicated winter tires. They make a hell of a difference especially in very cold and snowy days. Trust me.

You said “dry winter roads”. You shouldn’t need winter tires for no snow.

I drove my SS (sedan) on Conti all seasons for three winters with lots of snow without an issue.

My 2016 2SS tires - Goodyear runflats - didn't hardly even work in the rain. No way I would run them below freezing. Not sure about the all seasons that come with some models though.

I have a 2021 LT1 with the OE 20 inch all season tires, I bought car late November and have 3500 miles on the car now, no issues with the all season tires the car comes equipped with. I also have owned a 2016 1LT v6 manual Camaro, that car had 18 inch all seasons from the factory, put 10k miles on that car , no issues in rain, snow or cold either.

Ive gone through a few Toronto winters - all seasons on the dry roads would be fine.

I ran the Pirelli Sottozeros on my Camaro this winter. Wet traction was very good. They held their own in the snow when I went snowboarding in January too. Pricey, but worth it IMHO.

Jeez people, Chevy is putting ALL-SEASON tires on that LT version. They may be “SS” wheels, but they are the 20 x 8.5 square setup with ALL-SEASON tires. Not the GY F1 A3 run-flats. I believe they are also 45 profile, not the 40’s they put on SS fronts. The stock ALL-SEASON tires should be absolutely FINE with what the OP is asking to do.
OP, don’t waste your money on “winter” tires, you’ll be fine with the tires you have!

I just took off my 19 inch winter tires off and put the stock all season 20 inch run flats back on and what a big difference from the softer winter tires to the much stiffer run flats that are just so much more rough feeling over every crack. Once the run flats are done they will be replace by an another tire.
