Winter hibernation almost over

Who else has had their car garaged and covered for the winter, and is now only a few weeks from putting it back on the road?

Just contacted my insurance to restore full coverage on March 25. This past week in CT was below freezing every day, but next week's forecast looks more spring-like. Hopefully the remaining snow will melt.

I missed the Camaro so bad that I started having delusional thoughts that a more practical but still sporty year round car might be more fun than driving a 15 year old Mini 75% of the time. Something like a Focus ST/RS or VW GTI maybe. But now that driving the 1LE is only a few weeks away, those thoughts will disappear on that first drive. It's taken a lot of patience to get through the winter.

Drove my 1LE all winter long. I'll be happy when I can put the all-season tires away and get my GYs back on there.

I NEED my car to wake up. I hate winter.

Looks like it's going to be in the mid 60's here later this week. I might sneak her out for some quick paces around the town here if the roads are dry.

I'm with you all. I purchased my car 10/25 and only got 700mi behind the wheel before the temperatures started to dip down around freezing. I don't think I have ever checked the 10 - day forecast as much as I have this past week or so, can't wait to get it out!

Mine's been sleeping since Nov. 1 2018. Worse is I installed a new Solo exhaust and all I've heard is idle. Sure hope spring comes early.

Yesterday was sunny and 45 with 6 inches of snow still on the grass. Got the hose out to get the salt off my jeep and the wife's car, and when I finished it felt so good to be outside again, I pulled out the Camaro out of the garage and gave it a good wash. Just waiting for a good rain or 2 to wash the enormous amount of salt off the roads before I use it again.

I haven't driven mine since the big snows and salting started, which was luckily pretty late. After last night's heavy rain to wash away the mess, I was thinking the same thing.

Now I just have to watch for the potholes...
