I did a muffler delete, and now i'm experiencing a lot of backfiring even at low rpms. is that typical?

I just had my mufflers deleted and like the way it sounds. The decelerating popping has increased but I don't mind.

I've been wanting to do the muffler delete or total straight pipes after the cats. So everyone seems to agree that just the muffler delete does not decrease h.p. What about deleting both the mufflers and the resos? Would that cause me to loose power/low end torque? If so would putting an x pipe in help?

I love my decel pop. I took mine off and my butt dyno didnt feel any gain or loss in power. The loss in mpg is probably from you giving it more gas to hear your exhaust. Beside's I hope you didnt buy this car for its mpg rating.
