No concerns of tire wear, but boy was I tired from the effort of trying to keep it inline vs pointing backwards.

What would have been fun day.. turned into hello GM roadside even before 9am. Low Oil Pressure warning, which most likely means another LT4 with oil pump failure.

22,210 miles on the clock. Happened on Sunday, towed to the dealer that handles my warranty stuff, so at least that worked out. Hopefully they can set me up with loaner in mean time as I've seen some of these failure types drag on for weeks.

Best case - bad pressure unit, worst case.. crate motor.

The Sto-N-Sho brackets require no "holes" as they mount using existing mounting holes. So, either you mounted it in a custom way or you have the wrong setup (there are a bunch of varieties available for different Camaro's based on how the front end is built).

The brackets mount -below- all of the front bumper / splitter components and the pins that hold the front plate go entirely underneath everything to slip into place.

ZLE front nose is very low and the way I mounted it raises the 2 pins up a bit.

As for oil pump, failure confirmed, in a loaner for what will be better part of 2-3 weeks as there is other cars ahead of mine with "failures" and since its small place, major work can only tie up one bay. I'd rather it be done right than fast.

And the oil pump carnage... Downstream inspection revealed no damage, I imagine oil filter was cut apart to check for jiggly bits.

Monday the approved parts list gets ordered and we're one step closer to having a car back.

I've seen some where rotor spun on the crank - this one appears to have sheered the vanes instead.

Fingers crossed I get it back in time to put some miles on the RE71R before.. winter!

After nearly 40 days - it's BACK. Sounds good, runs well. Might as well auto-X it tomorrow. These RE71R are loud AF when they get HOT.

After bumpy start to 2020 and then oil pump failure, I am happy to close out 2020 autox season with few fun filled events.

A mild weather streak allowed us to squeeze in another autox. Really enjoying the car / tires / alignment.

This month we're almost 4 events into 2021 season. Next event on the 16th of May.

And we purchase GM extended warranty - so much fun, why not make it less risky on the wallet. Cheap insurance.

It's due for an alignment check up. Trying to schedule it before the next event.
