Exhaust, post-fact.
So, I recently had a round of modifications for my car. Of which, I ended up with catless long tubes, stock mid pipe and Flowmaster NPP axle back. Now, I had a 2014 Camaro SS with 2" catless longtubes, going to the stock mid-pipe and into the stock NPP and it was loud but, not this kind of loud.
My question is, for those of you who have aftermarket, modified or exhaust shop specials, did any of you place a resonator or two in that section and if so, what were the dimensions of the resonator? I need to find a way to quiet this down a bit. Thanks!

I did not add resonators. My car was much louder with the headers and I love the sound of my exhaust much better than stock. I just use the NPP exhaust tour mode if I don't want piss off the neighbors lol. I do have catted connection pipes but the cats are the size of a can of dip, don't think they tone it down too much.

I have the same exhaust setup except catted. It's loud but I love it. I just put the exhaust on stealth when I want it "quiet". I have a set of catless connection pipes also so now i'm curious to see how big of difference the cats actually make. Maybe i'll switch them out one day when i'm bored haha.

Our cars don’t exactly have a stealth mode, per se. I mean, I could put my fuse back in and set the exhaust to touring mode but, the valves will still open up under load. I don’t want to impede my flow, just take the edge off of the harshness. I’m hoping I can get some quality resonators welded into the stock mid pipe location to help out. I just don’t know what’ll fit.

Resonator wont really help much if you want quiet it down. They are better reduce drone.
Your best bet is add quality high flow catalytic converter or change muffler.

Odd. I almost distinctly remember the valves opening up nonetheless; just at different rpms/engine load. I put the fuse back in my exhaust so, we'll see how much that lowers the tone. Also, there are resonators out there that do a fantastic job of reducing volume, such as the Vibrant Ultra Quiet resonator. Only problem is fitment in this regard, since its pretty tight in the mid pipe section of our exhaust so, I don't think that'll fit.

The exhaust valves can be tuned to open and close when you want. Stealth is closed all the time. I have my Track mode tuned to where the valves stay open all the time except in 8th gear so on the freeway drone is reduced. You can tune them to stay open all the time just like if you had your fuse pulled though.

So, I put the fuse back in and placed the car into stealth mode, as per the settings. Its quieter but, still very loud. I'll attempt to find my own way to address this without putting cats in. Thanks.

Cats would quiet it some but most likely the flowmaster muffs that are loud compared to the stock suitcase.
