You could try the GM one: https://www.trunkmonkeyparts.com/oem...ckage-84152028

Hi everyone! I've searched and I saw this question answered for models a few years old and wanted to be sure for my 2019 SS. Are there any pilot holes at all for any of the badges? I'm thinking about removing the trunk lid bowtie, the SS on the rear bumper, and the Camaro crests on the front fenders. I apologize but just want to be sure before removing any of them. As the saying goes... measure twice, cut once. Thanks!

Ok guys I did this exact thing on removing the rear bowtie on a black 2021 LT1 today. I'm left with swirl marks and a dullish finish after some rubbing compound and Meguiar's Ultimate Compound.
Please have some suggestions to get me back to a nice polished look. I could not find Meguiar's Ultimate POLISH like I was looking for. |

The clear is extremely soft and susceptible to marring and swirls, especially with something like Ultimate Compound. Its too aggressive. Even Swirl X and other similar products would not finish out perfect.
The only thing that finishes perfectly on mine has been Meguiars M210 with a finishing pad. Made special for very soft clears, it is my go to for any (finish) correction work on my black SS. |

Is the only product so far that works for me!
Of course, you can use products like Swirl-X and Ultimate Compound if needed, but you most certainly will have to finish up with M210 to clear up afterward the micro-marring caused by the other products. You will easily see with an inspection light of sorts (high powered LED or the sun...) but to the naked eye will look fine of course. M210 with a Meguiars black finishing pad with my DA works best thus far. Even clay bar done properly will mar this paint. Of course, black will be the worst offender and won't be noticed as much on others. But you may visually see a difference between the depth of the paint that has had the micro-marring corrected out with the appropriate product. Good thing is, correction is very easy because the clear is so soft. But finishing it out properly is also a bit tricky. |
