Will it work?

I just bought a 2021 LT1 RS which does not a spare tire nor flat kit. I still have the spare tire from my 2010 2LT. I know the lug set up is the same but will it fit over the brakes, etc?

Not sure if I should hang on to the old spare as a back up or get rid of it.

The best way to make sure is to try and fit it, also don’t forget to make sure the overall tire diameter is not much different from the new car

I did plan on testing it out but thought some of the regulars on here might already know. As far as the spare diameter, I figured it wouldnt matter too much if just getting to the local tire shop for replacement.

How many other people say the same thing. The tire may have to be ordered. Size does matter. Hit the brakes and see what goes on.

Size also matters if your car has limited slip. You don’t want tires of different diameters straining the LSD by spinning at different speeds.
