Found out today that my 24 2ss that I ordered the very first week you could order got pushed back. About 3 weeks ago my car was given a TPW of 9/18, now it's pushes back to 10/9. I ordered a basic 2ss automatic with the upgraded exhaust. Hopefully nothing affects it.

With all the pushback in production dates, I’m assuming GM would have to extend production. Right? Like, they can’t commit (accept) your order and then go “sorry buddy we no build now”. I know it’s GM but I don’t think they are that scummy.

GM did do that. They will not reverse the decision to cut production short, so thousands of orders will go unbuilt.

Reality sinking in on the potential '24 buyers...
As someone else posted, better hit the ol' inventory search and start finding one you'll be happy with over not getting a new one at all. My local dealer has a '24 ZL1 A10 vert in sharkskin and a '24 2SS A10 vert in red hot on the lot. '24 ZL1 '24 2SS

No, they haven't yet. Orders haven't even been placed for cars that were going to built in January. They still have 4 more order cycles so they haven't canceled any orders at this point.

Your order is placed by the dealer. It can go through all the preliminary codes GM has, but until that car is finalized and driveable in full steel with an engine and a VIN and 4 tires and can be legally registered on public roads as a passenger car, there's no certain guarantee it will be built. Even when times were good, before covid, GM could restrain build configurations due to short supply of any part and you wouldn't know until they sent the information through the channels to your dealer as to why your car wasn't built. As for right now, I'd almost wager serious money that GM has formally finalized their supplier purchases for Camaro-specific components, and are now just going to build the cars they can build with the parts and components that are in stock at the Lansing Grand River assembly. So I'm sure they have plenty of standard components (doors, body panels, front and rear clips, hoods and trunks, chassis and unit-body pans, dashboards, seats, 3.6 engines, standard suspensions) to continue to build standard configuration Camaros through December, but things like the LT1, Mag ride, certain wheels, more specific and alternate options may already be in short supply or used up and no longer available, and they're not going to request more from their suppliers when they're not going to be building them much longer. You'd have to see what the situation is in the Tonawanda, New York engine plant as for how much longer they're going to produce the LT1/LT4.

My understanding is some Camaro LT1s (M6 cars predominantly) and all Camaro LT4s are currently built at the PBC in Bowling Green KY.

I guess your source (or the words they used) are different than mine, so we’ll just have to see what happens. GM hasn’t exactly been customer-friendly lately, so I don’t expect happy surprises from them.
