Drained the catch can after ~1000 miles and 40 track miles...
I'm thinking this is a bit excessive for a healthy engine. Will continue to monitor the output.

I'd planned for another visit to the circuit, but during inspection/oil change...found a hole where an exhaust manifold stud/nut was supposed to be!
No doubt due to my lack of torque wrench use in this challenging area...but the stud too? 3 weeks later...Chevy in Kansas City delivered: 5 minute install...back in business. Friday is an off day this week...maybe with some luck might break away...

wow just read this thread.
one of the best if not best threads i have ever read on any car forum. amazing story and so awesome to see a proper owner buying his car to enjoy it rather than have it sit in a garage. full kudos to this Tim M... plus nice he has a proper american v8 in his land of over engineered german cars..i bet it's a head turner as it is here in sweden?

Camaro fanboy: appreciate the compliments! I certainly enjoy automobiles and the Camaro is quite the car, no doubt. Also been very fortunate for many opportunities! Heck,I figure I'd be less of an enthusiast if I didn't partake, no? ;-)
Speaking of which...got a Friday off so off to the Ring we went! Took 30% longer due to the summer break traffic (painful), but the car performed better than I and tied my previous fast B to G time. Lots of cars and they had opened the lots back up for the gatherings. Great to see. I just need to clean up my driving and remind myself of a proper line...7:30's will likely be my sweet spot before I exceed my comfort zone/run out of skills!

Tim, are you lowered and if so, what springs? Or perhaps the negative camber gives the appearance you’re lowered… hmmm

Dabjbr: Suspension is stock other than the alignment. The additional weight from the LT4 blower setup (82 pounds) only slightly impacts static height...likely because the suspension is already a bit on the firm side.
I think the car would look even better with lowering springs...but it drives so well and I have far to exceed its limits...

Looking Great Tim !
For comparison, what was your average or best time prior to fitting the supercharger ? Last edited by gts_215i; 08-12-2021 at 12:06 AM. Reason: Emoji error |

7:53 (B to G) without the supercharger.
Although, I was not power limited on the lap times. My comfort level goes up after each lap...so not exact comparison.

kropscamaro16: Sorry if I misled, but all my times are from the bridge to gantry portions of the track. Add another ~27 seconds for the heck of a long front straightaway that you can only do on a dedicated track day.
The open track times for the public force you off (or at least slow for the pass thru ticket booth). I am not even close to the times the real drivers are putting down! It is still incredibly fun and challenging. Last time I checked, a track day is over 1200 USD...season pass is available...

This is just from what I gather from my idle curiosity on the road. Would love to go there some day though I know the chances are slim.
