Create little toggle switch for dome lights?

Is there a way to retrofit a wire with a switch and place it right next to the two individual dome light buttons? Purpose of this would be to turn both on or off with a single flick instead of individually clicking both. If possible, I’d like to make this switch override the OEM buttons to have them turn on and off when it normally wouldn’t from the way it’s wired from factory.

Easiest way I can think of it is taking off the panel cutting both buttons and properly soldering them to a switch/button of your choosing.

You can just turn the gauge dimming knob, located to the left of the steering wheel, all the way clockwise (I believe) and all interior lights will turn on. It kind of "clicks" past where you think its done turning for this feature. This has been the case in every gm vehicle I can think of... well at least since 2000.
