Monster or Street Slayer
So looking to upgrade my clutch and these seem to be two of the most popular. So question is what would be a good option for me for basic bolt ons and a tune making about 450whp and similar torque? Would a twin disc be overkill? I do plan on supercharging, but not for a while. What would be good options from both manufacturers?

You're not going to hear a bad story about the street slayer. That's what I run and its been great! Although I'm sure the monster is great too. I can only speak for the street slayer twin carbon

We recommend the Monster, obviously.
The new LT1-xx series clutches will provide smooth and long lasting service while holding between 700-1150 rwhp. We also have triple disc units for the guys who are crazy! There are numerous benefits that our new twin disc have that put us ahead of others in the market. That said, either option is great, just really depends on budget, etc. Give us a call and we'll gladly get you taken care of, we offer discounts to Camaro5 members that will help you financially. |

I have the Monster LT1-S twin for a while now, an I can truly say I am impressed on the drivability and performance it provides.
It's a great clutch without the noise that other twins give. I very pleased with this clutch, you can't go wrong with this clutch an if your making more power, they modify to withstand the horsepower you have! Steve knows clutches, and he steered me right what I wanted, an I'm glad he did.

im planing on switching to the street slayer. ive got a lv1 monster twin. not to happy with the engagement. i had to relearn how to drive a stick. it also shakes my car to death taking off from a start. ive had it a little over a year. i also get a bad clutch smell if i don't take of right. trying to take off fast from a start with out dumping the clutch is just about impossible with out getting burnt clutch smell. i would love to just get it warrantied and rebuilt if there was a bad part in it. but it is so expensive to have a shop take it apart, i hate to take the chance.
