I have a 2012 and it grinds into second at any rpm and any temperature shifting fast. Shifts fine slowly although notchy.

I just got mine back from the dealer in time to park it for the winter. Out of all the TR6060 tremecs out there (Ford Dodge and Chevy),It seems to be just us Camaro guy/gals that have the problem. Them is with the syncros. My trans was completely torn apart by the dealer. They said that the syncros were the cause. and because of this 2nd gear was chewed up a little. The also said that blocking ring looked burnt and discolored.(prob something to do with the skip shift). The problem I had was, I could granny shift it all day long no prob. Get on the throttle though and 2nd grindage. But only got the grind in 2nd power through every other gear no prob. It`s not caused by any of your shifter but on other threads people have said it is more noticeable with a shot shifter. I have since bought a skip shift eliminator for mine in the hopes that I don`t have anymore issues.

Agree with zkengo, mine does it usually about the point you would expect skip-shift to kick in (OEM Hurst, 15k). Has happened maybe a dozen times, but only a couple that made me wince. Gotta be something to do with the threshold it wants to skip at

Actually the Ford and Chrysler guys have had complaints about the 2nd/3rd gear grinding issues ever since the TR6060 was available to them.

FYI... skip shift eliminator will not resolve the issue.

grinding into 2nd (prominent when car is cold, or car has been sitting; whether rpm is low or high)

sometimes refuses to go into 2nd (prominent when car is cold, or car has been sitting; whether rpm is low or high)

sometimes drops out of second into neutral (at high rpms).

hurst.

did it with oem and hurst. Dealer said they know its a problem with the trans. (1-2 synchros) but they will not touch it with the shifter. Going to put stock shifter back on and try again.

Always a lil notchy when til the tranny warms up. Waiting on my order of Redline fluid. A lot of positive feedback indicating that it helped. Certainly can't hurt.

MGW shifter. Raising the knob just a little higher helped also since there's better leverage being applied.
