New member first time camaro owner from so cal
Hey guys, I just bought a used 2010 camaro 2SS 6mt today. And I must be honest here, I'm a car guy through and through. However I have never owned an American muscle car before. I come from a background mainly composed of highly modified BMW's. I went to the dealership to buy an M3 yesterday and the deal fell through, then I ended up buying a supercharged range rover sport they had on the lot. Decided It just wasn't for me, brought it back and went back to the drawing board. Long story short I test drove a grey 2ss camaro they had just gotten in as a trade in. Car has exhaust (sounds incredible, not sure of the brand yet) and an intake and some custom wheels. Other than that I think it's all stock. Ended up buying it. Now I have never boughten a car on a whim before. I always do extensive research and obsess on something before purchasing. This was my first real impulse purchase. I'm a little nervous just because I know nothing about this car. That's a first for me. So I hope you guys here can give me some tips. Is there anything I should know about the car right of the bat? Any essential mods, or advice on the car would be greatly appreciated. I love car forums so I'm here to stay. And I look forward to making some great friends here. Pics to follow soon!

Hi Dexter, your story sounds pretty similar to mine, although I've been looking at and driving different 2010 SS Camaros for the last 6 weeks or so. This week I spotted a nice looking silver 2SS at the dealer 1 mile from my house. I went in just to get some info on the car and the more I looked at it and checked it out the better and better it looked. It also has an aftermarket intake, and the exhaust is not stock either. I ended up buying the car that day, and I am just lovin it!

Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in them...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's and wive's here don't care....and take it easy.
 oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here. Welcome!!
