Toohigh PSI veterans

For those that have already done the thpsi install do you happen to recall the different hose lengths you needed? Looking at the pictures from those that hev done the install there seems to be the need for 4 hoses. I have all the fittings and hoses in hand so it would be good to get that part out the way while I wait for the kit to come in.

Getting excited is an understatement.

Are you referring to the fuel line that's needed? I bought the evil energy 6an ptfe fuel line kit off amazon, 16' for around $84.

Yea I have everything needed to make the lines just the measurements for length of each. Looking at all the pictures they all seem to be the same length so I was wondering if anyone recorded that information so I can knock the lines out while I wait for the kit.

Here is a good picture of my setup on the Camaro. I'm assuming you got hold of Mike to talk to him, I told him you'd be calling.

We shared a few emails while they were at SEMA this last week and he pointed me to the install doc on their page of your build. I purchased everything he had listed used on your installation. The only thing that's missing from his documentation is the length of each cable. From the pictures posted I was able to determine which fittings were needed for the ends of the lines and put those together and labeled them accordingly. Just patiently waiting now.

What intake manifold are you using or are you using plates? That will change the length of the lines. I didn't measure and record that information while I was doing mine. I understand you're excited and trying to be a step ahead for when everything shows up but it doesn't take all that long to make and plumb the lines when you have everything in place.

Sticking with the LT2 intake I have now. Had to use plates similar to those in the kit to make the LT4 highside pump fit under the intake so should work out perfect. And you're right about that kind of looking forward to this project.

I'd probably wait until you have everything in front of you before trying to make the fuel lines.

The fittings aren't really reusable once you've tightened them down on the fuel line. Sure you can probably "get away with it" if you make one wrong, but fuel's no joke... and those things are expensive if you make one or more of them a little too short or long.

So if it were me, I wouldn't pre-assemble anything. Even as little as a 1/2" off in length can be a big problem.

I didn't record the lengths on mine or I'd give them to you, and given that a minor variance can be a problem, i doubt I'd be able to get you completely accurate lengths if i went out and tried to use a tapemeasure or something.

All the fittings I had were reuseable, just don't over tighten them. Mike actually built mine that's in the picture and shipped it to me unassembled, I put it all back together at least twice, once with the original blower and after it was rebuilt at SCOL I put it back together again. Maybe you bought different fittings then I had, not sure why you think they can't be used again.

That's cool and I've been following your thread. Nice work on that and picked up a few pointers going forward. Nice to hear the power gains you received. I thought about going down a pulley size too but I'll leave well enough alone.

Im talking about the side of the fitting that crimps the hose. For the ptfe hose you have to buy new ferrules once the hose has been installed into the fitting and tightened. And even with anti-sieze the threads on that side start to get a little rough after a full tightening and removal.

The other end of the fitting can be installed and removed onto another connection many times without issue.

Good luck on the install! The power gains were significant. Never was able to make it to the track with the new config. Maybe in the spring now.
