Seems comparatively priced in its segment vs:

2015 Subaru WRX STI $34,495

2015 Mitsu Lancer Evo $34,495

Then there's the Civic Type-R. I'm not sure if it's available stateside, but in the UK its like £30,000 or $46,000 US.

These are all starting msrp, all have options that push the price up, some substantially.

Cheaper than I thought and I wouldn't mind picking up one in a few years to use as my future family four door.

I really like it.

Isn't this a great time to be a car buyer? I never thought we'd see days like this again. Lots of great choices.

The R you want starts at $39k [comes with nav and Dynamic Chassis Control = magnetic ride].

Ford Focus RS Performance Revealed:

0-62mph: 4.7 Seconds, 165mph
Ford has revealed the incredible performance figures and pricing of its Focus RS. With a 0-62mph time of 4.7 seconds and a top speed of 165mph, it'll blow everything into the weeds. As for the price, prepare to be amazed!

https://www.carthrottle.com/post/for...econds-165mph/

Keep in mind that this is a Euro review. I know that they not only go to 100km/h (62mph) vs our 0-60, but also do not use the 1ft of roll out that US tests allow. So likely, the specs we see here will have 0-60 in the 4.3 range.

Nice. I hope someone I know buys one.

I want one, but it'll probably happen after the truck/trailer I need for the GTR once that is built

Then use one of these as my family car

0-60 in 4.6 sec. That is the same as the Evo IX and that was fastest stock evo (we got at least).
So I'm guessing in will run mid 13's in the mag test and a 12 sec hero pass.

Dear GM,
Where is my new DD? Perhaps a 2016 Cruze SS pushing 300-350hp with a starting MSRP of around $27.5k. My current DD, a 2013 Cruze RS with a measly 138hp, just isn't cutting it.

Sincerely,
A concerned GM enthusiast

GM really needs to get into the hot hatch market. Ford has the Fiesta ST, Focus ST and now the RS. Everyone I have talked to with one of the ST cars, says that they are absolute blasts to drive!

Man, I wish I could afford this as my daily/winter/baby hauler.

Doubt my wife will want this instead of a 4 door truck.

I bet it's a blast to drive. As well as the Focus/Fiesta STs have reviewed, this is probably going to review exceptionally well as a drivers car.
