GT350 pricing leaked...allegedly.
Here's a link to autoguide's article where they claim an "unnamed source from Ford said the car will start at $52,995." to another site by the name of horsepowerkings.
http://www.autoguide.com/auto-news/2...om-52-995.html There's a lot of misinfo on the net these days, but this price point does make sense. Especially if there is to be a "R" variant that would cost Z/28 money.

That sounds like a reasonable price.

makes sense because it'll be a little under the competition but still around the same price of the others. And this makes the GT350 more attractive!

That's a great starting msrp if true, but let's see what the real out of door price with all of the options like MRC, etc comes out to.

I would have pegged it above $55,000 for the engine, but without CC brakes I don't see it crossing $60,000.
That being said, the car is not available until late next year. And if that is true, Ford has not settled on the price anymore than they have finalized the car. So the timing alone makes the number very suspect other than someone leaking a "target price". I'm guessing the "R" version will be the true Z/28 competitor. And sadly, by the time the GT350 actually does come out, the Z/28 won't even be available at all or for much longer.

I agree with Number 3.
But if it is true, or close, I suspect there are certain items that you'll want if you plan to track the car, but may not want the "R" variant, such as trans coolers and stuff like that will put the price at least in the mid 50s. To me, this car still seems to be competition for the ZL1 in base form, I'm guessing ending up somewhere between it and the Z/28 in terms of pure track performance. A fully track optioned, or R variant will likely give the Z/28 the best competition. Still curious to see what it weighs too. I'm guessing somewhere around 100 to 150 less than the Z/28.

That's a nice price. Having finally seen a 2015 Mustang in person today, I have to agree pictures don't do it justice. Only thing I dislike is the rear. Ford came to play if this pricing is true.

Hate to say it, but I told you so. I believe a Ford rep said that there will be a new GT500 so no way were they going to make $60,000 a starting price for the GT350.

Awesome price. Still would like to see more specs seeing how the gt was sorta a let down. Really want to know the weight.

If true that is an awesome price. I am very interested to learn more about this motor and car. Between this and the scat pack challenger, I hope this pushes GM to make an option above the basic LT1. Not as expensive as an LS7 but maybe a 6.4L version of the LT1 with 490 hp. That seems unlikely but the gap between the LT1 and the LT4 is huge, it feels like there is something missing.
