The guts of the 9.75 fits inside the 8.8 housing. Ford is using the 8.8 housing with the 9.75 ring gear.

They went to the track Sunday. Tune, 17" slicks and skinnies, and removed passenger seat resulted in a 12.1@112 mph.

That is absolutely crazy fast. Though does the cat back on this one weigh as much as the GT? If yes then that is a decent amount of weight reduction they did. Still good job them!
I want to see how this compares on a track to the BRZ. Obviously faster in a straight line lol if its quicker on a road course then it'll outsell the BRZ like crazy I bet.
