With Evo exiting the market Ford can conquest a ton of those Evo buyers, as I doubt they would go for the Subaru. Adding another 1500-2500 sales per month at $36k+ can't be a bad thing.
Yep Niche vehicles, and since Ford is already going to be selling this vehicle across the pound, it can't hurt to offer it here. there is a market for them, so tip of the cap to ford for going after it

It's not like GM doesn't have an entry in the hot hatch market either. The VXR's just not available in the U.S. that I'm aware of.

Honestly, I'd love to see GM come up with a Rallyesque car. Vauxhall used to participate in that competition series.

Granted, it is a niche market. Small hatches aren't hugely popular in the U.S. to begin with, as far as I can tell, but as I'm an automotive enthusiast by any definition, I would dearly love to see an all wheel drive performance hatch come out of GM's engineering department. It would make a heck of a Winter time counterpart to my Camaro.

If were to buy such an animal today, I think I might go Subaru instead of Ford, but that's more a factor in me always having been a WRX fan.

Glad to see they're bringing back the long historic rallye line heritage.... the all new RS will be a hoot to drive!
