That's the "off the shelf" rating. I think it was Hameedi that stated that the 3160 was significantly modified to withstand the demands of the 5.2L.

Here's an article, (it's validity unknown), that states the units in GT350's will hold a 425lb rating.

ATS uses the 3160, what's it's rated at? If it's higher maybe that'll give us an idea of what this trans can really be made to do.


The article also has these as the ratios for the GT350
First: 3.253:1
Second: 2:233:1
Third: 1.611:1
Fourth: 1.24:3
Fifth 1:1
Sixth: .629:1
Reverse: 2.955:1
