passenger side mirror...

Hello.

I am asking the camaro community for help. Had a minor accident, passenger mirror housing got tore up. I need to replace it along with the actual mirror. I googled it and the gm store nor carid and another dont have it. Anyone know where i can get it without cutting off one of my arms?

thx

Call a local GM body shop, they should be able to get a mirror housing. But, be warned, they are expensive (~$550 IIRC, retail). Someone damaged my driver side mirror housing and to replace it was a little over $800 (insurance paid for it). They had to paint it at the body shop and install PPF as part of that overall cost. You can't tell it was replaced, looks factory, even the paint.

You won't have an easy time getting these immediately, but I had a lot of success with GMPartsDirect in the past, even in late 2021. Try the parts that fit your car at https://www.gmpartsdirect.com/v-2017...utside-mirrors (your signature only says "2017 Camaro").

Note that the housing will not be painted beyond the primer, so you either need to take valiant attempt at base paint plus clearcoat plus compound/polish, or leave the entire project with a competent body shop.

I wanged mine against the garage opening pulling the car in about a year ago. It cracked the housing. I took it to a local body shop I trust. They ordered the mirror from GM, painted and installed it. I was out the door for $272.00. I have a 1SS w/o the auto dimming feature so the complete assembly (housing w/mirror) was only $140.00. It took about three weeks for the part to come in. The repair time at the shop was one day plus waiting one more day for paint to dry.

So, if you have a local shop you like I'd suggest you start there. They can probably get the part as fast as anyone else.

Best wishes for a speedy resolution.
