I plan to keep the Camaro for a long time, but my next new car will probably be electric.

I think my next vehicle will be a Jeep Grand Cherokee. Something I plan to purchase 4-5 years from now. After that I will pay off my 2SS and look towards buying a 7th gen ZL1.

I plan on keeping my future camaro for a while. My personal rule to myself since I was 18 is to only buy rear wheel drive, and my next car has to be equal or quicker than my current car. And to also TRY to stick with N/A cars, but I doubt the future will allow for that.
With that being said I may stick with muscle and go for possibly an 8th gen in the future or 7th gen. My close friend and family members are all mustang guys so I'd always purposely be going against them rather than with them. And my dad use to have a Trans Am/firebird back in the day so it feels like I'm continuing the old family legacy. If Pontiac was still around making them I would definitely buy one without hesitation. Alternatively I might think about going back to Infiniti/Nissan but they really need to do something about their performance platforms because they can't seem to make up their minds. I think they may have hit the spot with the Q60 Red Sport but I'd give it some time in terms of reliability. I always had a preference for N/A over F/I. Otherwise I hate German cars with a passion (Minus the exotics like Porche), they're great cars don't get me wrong but I'm not going to pay a premium on a fragile vehicle. Hate Honda culture. Lexus is awesome but over priced and ugly. And Dodge needs to go on a diet asap, they have a great thing going so far, just need to stomp the competition with a chasis overhaul. Although the old man wouldn't let me drive a Dodge, we've always been a GM and Nissan kind of family which is very weird I know. |

It is interesting to me how some will stick with a certain brand for emotional / family related reasons. I am a performance whore, I don't care much about the brand as long as it delivers what I want in a car.

It's what I always say. Kids are expensive and a pain in the ass.

Pretty sure they do. We do all kinds of stuff together but damn, some days they just won't let me sit still. Drives me insane. My son is almost 15 and my daughter is 12 going on 30 and knows everything.

I'm hoping that I planned this right. Got a 4-year lease on my 2017 Camaro, beginning in March 2017. The Camaro 6 began selling in 2015, as a 2016 model. The Gen5 stayed around for 5 years, from 2010-2015.
Hopefully, the Gen7 will come out in 2020, as a 2021 model, if it's on the same 5-year cycle. That'll mean my lease will run out when the new Gen7s are being sold as 2021 models. |

I have no idea....I'm just loving my ZL1, and not in the slightest bit interested in future rides.

My hope is to be in a GT-R, 911 or Corvette for the next car...we'll see.

Hard to say at this time. Our Jag will be gone next year. Do we limp along with 3 vehicles or does not having a Jag force our hand (Jag household since 1986).
I find the F-Type a great looking car, but it needs to find some power, particularly at its price points (~$80K for 380HP from the 3.0 - 6). For that cash you can get into an FX-R for the same $$ and have a back seat and 4 doors to go with 500+ HP. Who knows, I might just pull the rip cord and retire and drive my truck.

I would love to say another Camaro but they are drawing further away from the muscle car genre that I prefer. It's more of a sports car, which I get, but I want something a little bigger and more raw. Less refined. I've owned 3rd, 4th and 6th gen Camaro's. So far my fav was the '92 Z28. Was nowhere near as fast as my current V6 but it just felt more in line with the Camaro heritage. This of course is all my opinion. I guess time will tell...

I don't have any plans to replace my 50th unless the next gens is something really special. Might consider it when I see what the 55th anniversary looks like.
Realistically I think I will need to replace my daily driver before the Camaro and that will be another Camry but hopefully not before 2020-2021. |
