20mm Spacers Making Me Nervous
Never done anything like this to a car, worried about sending that much RWHP to 20mm spacers.
Are there any risks associated with installing these to a 2016 1SS? I've heard nightmare stories of wheels blowing off. I should also note I drive the car pretty hard, I don't want to be nervous about using launch control or spinning the wheels. All I've done is NPP exhaust and Cold Air, so specs are pretty darn close to stock Link http://www.ebay.com/itm/281813436620

I run 3mm spacers and I'm super nervous. I'm not entirely sure why you're trying to run such a large spacer but, suffice to say, if you drive your car hard on a regular basis, I'd avoid spacers and instead opt to get wider wheels.

Why do you need them? Don't do it, at some point just buy a set of wheel with the right offset to get the stance your looking for.

I agree with laynlo, getting wider wheels with the correct offset is the way to go.
With that being said, if you have to use them I'll give you my opinion on them since I have used them for over 7 years on my other cars as well. If you are going to use them, then do the following and you'll be fine. - Always try get them from a reputable company like Eibach and H&R's. Those companies have been using spacers for off roading and such for years. Not sure about Ebay brands, just risky to me - Always torque them down to spec! Torquing it tighter is actually more riskier so nothing over 140 ft lb (torque spec for the SS) - Always make sure they're hubcentric IE Eibach/H&R's make it model specific for our cars that fits flush on our bore/hub If you do those steps correctly, the spacer and wheel assembly will work well as whole unit and you won't have issues. I have them for over a year now, went over 125 mph w/out a single issue or vibrations. Then again, I have high quality spacers from Eibach and installed them correctly. |

Open to suggested high quality brand spacers, please link! I don't want to replace my wheels or buy wider ones and increase my yearly maintenance cost

I've run a 1/4 spacer in the past with no problems. I probably wouldn't go wider than that unless it's a hubcentric spacer. I ran a 1" hubcentric spacers on my old '03 Cobra (460rwhp) for years with zero issues, including racing it in the 1/4.

I've also used the Eibach hubcentric spacers: 15mm in Front and 20mm in Rear. They were very good quality... Very important to torque to the specific specs..
Just so you know, if you plan on installing your Split spoke wheels with any spacers that are smaller than 25mm, you will need to cut some of the original studs a bit. They dont have deeper pockets as other aftermarket wheels have. |

Correct, if you have the splits 5 and if you are going 20mms or bigger you will have trim the nubs of your studs.
