I would do other performance mod but I really do not want to void the warranty. That's why I thought a catback would be my best bet. Not looking for performance improvements, just sound. Still caught in the middle a little bit.

Got the setup on and words cannot describe how much I love this setup. It is plenty loud now and I wouldn't want it any louder. I highly recommend this setup to anyone who's looking for an exhaust on their zl1. I'll make a new thread with a review.

Do you have an a10 car or manual? Does it pop a bunch on decel? I really miss that on the stock exhaust.

I have the Borla exhaust. The stock exhaust never poped. The only time the stock exhaust poped was on start up.i have a A10 car. Borla is phenomenal and is the best exhaust available for ZL1. It is not inexpensive and you get what you pay for.

I haven’t noticed any exhaust pops from the Borla.

Wait, I thought the Borla catback eliminated the rear cats and bolted in. Is there more than one 3" version?

The catback alone does not eliminate the rear cats and would require cutting factory exhaust. However, the catback coupled with the secondary cat delete pipes eliminate cutting and allows for a full bolt up.

Why is everybody so asphyxiated with not cutting the exhaust? One storing the store 150 pound exhaust that’s a size of a car, PITA. Let alone when I trade it in I doubt they will care less.

I have a manual. It pops and crackles a good amount on decel. I'd say a little bit more than stock.

Agreed. I got this setup to not have to cut but the exhaust shop told me there would be too much tension and it would be way too long to take off the whole piece. So they did a couple of cuts and not gonna lie my stomach churned a little bit watching them saw off the exhaust. But the end product is definitely worth it. All I wanna do is drive the car and listen to that exhaust.

So I take it that the s-type is more old school deep muscle car sound and the attak is more higher pitch exotic sounding?
