Help plan my bolt on build.

This will be a while because I would like to get closer to the end of my warranty, but I would like to do some bolt ons for a fun street build, but keeping reliability at the top of the list.

Right now the Rotofab intake, E85, and a tune are on my to do list.

I know I want to upgrade the intake manifold as well paired with a 95mm TB, but I am on the fence about porting the stock intake VS using a LT2 intake, ported or not. If anyone has any advice as to what the best bang for your buck option is here, that would be great.

Up last is possibly doing headers. I absolutely love my AWE Touring exhaust but I hate how raspy the long tube headers make our cars and don't want to lose this deep sound I have. Im fine with louder, but not raspy. I don't care for milking every drop of horsepower so headers may not be my best option but if there are high flow cats worth replacing the stock cats with I would consider that as well. Just looking for input here.

Also, any shop recommendations around northern GA or neighboring states that wont charge a fortune, as the goal is to be cost effective here.

lt2 intake for sure, hard to argue the value of it.

I really like the LT2, just didn't know if a ported stock intake would be a better value. Honestly I'd love to get the LT2 and it's cover because I love the way it looks. I did notice people have rubbing issues but I guess I'll sand it down and paint it.

Get your LT2 Intake and LT2 Engine Cover at Phastek.
The Cover will need to be modified to fit the Camaro.

I would do the LT2, cover and TB
Then, I would look at
1) CA front cat deletes
or
2) LT with cats

If 2 is too loud for you (it was for me) you can weld in a pair of Borla 60608 resonators (one piece two resonators) I'd recommend the 2 and 3/4"

They won't be the most cost effective, but if you want top notch work -- you're local to Vengeance Racing. They have a great reputation and build fast cars.

However, they are not a forum sponsor. That list can be found here

I am going with a full cat back Flowmaster exhaust, with a Airaid Jr intake. That’s probably the extent of my performance mods.

It's just shaving two spots down on the front of the cover, correct? I don't mind doing that, and then painting it to look better.

I am local to Vengeance but from what I've seen, they give some ridiculously high quotes for work and tuning. I know they have a huge reputation so I cant fault them for that but since I'm not going crazy on this build I feel like some other shops may be more in my price range. I'll definitely still reach out for a quote though.

So correct me if I'm wrong but wouldn't cat deletes be louder than long tubes with cats? That's why I was considering some high flow cats to replace the stock ones, I'm not a fan of the raspy sound of no cats, it's just loud and doesn't sound good to me.

Also for the price of those cat deletes I'm pretty sure I can get a shop to hollow out mine for much cheaper.

there are many cases were "high flow" cats are more restrictive than stock.

front cat deletes still keep the second cats. I've run both setups and the LT with cats are louder vs stock headers and front cat deletes but not a whole lot louder.

IMO you really can't hollow out the factory front cats, it really is about smooth linear flow. too bad CA cat deletes are not made anymore...

Okay gotcha! I don't mind the volume increase, my main concern is the rasp that may come along with it. Doing headers with cats seems like a lot of money for something I may not be super happy with. Maybe I will just stick with a secondary cat delete.

I don't think there is much there there on the 2nd cats or the squash pipes...
