Is that strut bar aftermarket or apart of the 2SS or 1LE trim? Thanks

It's a Chevrolet Performance accessory. Makes practically no difference on a coupe, and I wouldn't add more weight to the already heavy front end.

But it sure looks nice! I think it only weighs 2.8 lbs...

Yeah, but it's about the principle plus you forgot about the 2 new bolts

You only add weight to the front when you also add commensurate power or improve traction or braking capability, and even then you think 3x before you do, because physics is relentless.

Well I don't track my car so a couple pounds isn't going to be a factor...

I fall in line with the Captain, yes it does nothing to gain performance in a 6th gen coupe, but to the layperson it sure looks cool! And I wish they'd come out with that black one before I got my OE tower brace.
But when you open the hood and have a brace, GM CAI, and a MSD IM most folks think its a supercharged, factory special with nuclear power- LOL!

Then throw on the MGP caliper covers on in bright red and people step around the car just to keep from being bit! OK, I know the engine's dirty but the brake covers do reduce dust, right?

The one below is the same as the GM one. Cold Air Inductions made it for GM.
Tuning is not require for installation.

Ok, so it sounds like the GM Dealer version may be dry and the CAI is oiled?
