It is possible to wire a disconnect with a load drain on it I would think.

I'm sure but I sure won't attempt it with my limited knowledge. LOL. I'm still stinging from my attempt to install LED reverse lights with a resistor on them......then getting a dead battery every few days.

Yeah that led light shouldn’t have done that for you. If it was draining every couple days means the resistor wasn’t working right.

I was advised (I didn't) by a tuner company tech, to touch the negative and positive cables together to drain power. Then he mentioned pressing the brake to drain the ECU. I can do that.

Yeah I don’t buy the grounding out method. Too much electronics to short out. The brake method is much safer lol.
