Like Heath said, TC=Torque Converter, which is the culprit of the A8 shudder problem.

So what would I expect from this shudder problem? I have been experiencing the car jerking a bit on deceleration...as it works through the downshift pattern. Also has been a bit of a lag sometimes between stepping on it and actual pickup. Not sure if relayed or not.

I've been quoted 3 weeks and 2 weeks respectively from the closest 2 dealers before they'll even look at my transmission. I even asked them just to confirm this is shutter and not something worse to the transmission doesn't grenade and they said they couldn't do that, sounds like this is a big problem for Chevy.

My issue and the "known issue" to my knowledge only happens on steady acceleration above 25mph. If I try to just maintain speed (not accelerate) the car will jerk or feel like i'm driving over bumps for a second or 2 then stop, it'll repeat this cycle continuously unless I'm off throttle or on throttle to accelerate.

It’s the dreaded A8 TC issue. Without a doubt. The TC/A8 with this issue was used in multiple GM applications. It’s been an issue but has been identified and resolved so no more new builds with the issue. The local shops here are 2-3 day wait to look at that and another week to get the part.

I’m only seen one grenade itself and the damage was contained to the transmission/TC.

Deputy Dog does have a nice looking car though. Not a lot of Glitz but just looks all bidness.

Yeah really, I have the M6, so I've already done the headers/tune.
