Question 2012 Camaro LS CAI..... Can I do it?

Hey Everyone! Just bought my Camaro (well, a month ago) and am deciding to celebrate my 1,500 mile mark by installing a CAI. I've checked out a few, and finally settled on the Roto-Fab intake. I called their shop, and they explained that they don't think the intake will fit in the 2012 camaro v6. Something about a MAF sensor change? Anyway, I took apart my air intake and measured out all the dimensions and part-by-part the layout. Just looking under the hood of each, it seems to be the same... to my untrained eye. Posting t way, the MAF sensor hole looks different to me. Someone verify?

the holes for the maf are indeed different... on mine they are across from one another, not opposite corners.

Yea it doesn't fit I ordered one and had to return it. They are working on a new one now and said they would notify me when it was available. Hopefully it relatively quick I want to install it already.

Yeah, but good things come to those who wait. Just hope you don't have to wait as long for aftermarket support as the LLT guys did. Although with the E39 ECU, I imagine they'll have more out sooner.

So the 2012 has a MAF and MAP? Does anyone know if the 2010-11 have a MAP as well?

Well the V8...

I've been talking to Mike from Roto-Fab about his CAI and how it would fit, and he thinks that the V8 MAF sensor is similar, if not the same. I'm going to post over there to see if I can get confirmation on this. Anyone with a V8?

Is that with just the Roto-Fab? would that be the same for a cold air induction from CAI inc.

I imagine so because the CAI Inc would be set up to fit the LLT MAF which appears to be different than the LFX.

Yea It would be the same with ALL CAI systems including Injen, K&N, AirAid, Ect. Basically, I want a Roto-Fab, so I'm attempting to get a working CAI from them as fast as possible. If the SS tube fits, Im down for the install. I just have to find out if it does =) Will definately post results on here for all LFX owners.

throttle bodies are different between the v8 and v6, so that's going to be another problem for you

Yeah I know. My idea is to replace the MAF housing to a V6 Intake with the V8 (If the section will fit) and then use that as a whole new system. Are the V8 Throttle bodies bigger? Cus then that would wreck that plan.
