yeah, 20 something horsepower seems like a lot.
I've been thinking about getting one but they are so damn expensive.

If anybody had one of these! https://weaponxmotorsports.com/colle...14662605635633
I would buy one second hand! I think it looks awesome, but not $499 awesome. I have been hoping for a sale for 6 months! |

I would go for it. Until a time data exists regarding prolonged dyno runs across similar temperatures, I would go off the best evidence at hand. I'd get the intake.

I just laugh at alot of these claims....
I live close to Weapon-X in Cincy, so I go down alot. When I was researching my build both CAI's were on my list. I was there for the CAI testing before...then when the WX 5" was available my car got the first production unit and was tested. I watched every dyno and what this thing made. And when you add the looks and everything together, that's why I have it. This is the first tuning vid...when the hood is closed you hear the air being sucked into the motor, just like the vid...it's hilarious! https://youtu.be/nxg--jrLGOQ |

So what is better. The weaponX or roto-fab big gulp?

No offense intended, I think that would be very subjective. My opinion is based TOTALLY on appearance! Ya know things like mods, tuner, etc. would have a major affect on power added by the CAI.

I agree appearance is huge. The carbon fiber of the weaponX is bada**. But the roto-fab box and filter look better IMO.

Back when modding myZ06 , 20-25 hp gains generally could not be felt. But the Dyno doesn’t lie, as long as dyno runs are done on similar days, temps, etc.
just nice to add a little extra |

Last thing car guys need is an excuse to spend more money on accessories. We are our own worst enemy.
