It should be noted that this is a very easy thing to do yourself. I would take it to a detailer, have him polish the car, and give it back to you. Then you can wipe on the coating. Just watch some YouTube, practice on a trunk or two of somebody else's car, and have at it. It's very simple. And detailers can inflate the price of applying the coating quite a bit. A few great DIY coatings are CQUARTZ and PINNICLE Black Diamond.

if you dont have experience in doing this i wouldnt recommend it and good ones like ceramic pro cant even be sold to the public without being trained on this and being a dealer

We will agree to disagree. The DIY coatings are 95% of the authorized coatings, and many six GEN guys here have bought a DIY coating and put it on .....I'm sure they'll follow With a few posts here.

i would only use ceramic pro as its the best out there on the market and alot of the diy dont last as long and arent as good such as the adams polishes one but hey its your car!

Nothing, you'd just have to buff it off and start over.

I did it myself, about a year ago. I used this one http://www.autogeek.net/wolfgang-ube...c-coating.html

I'm happy with it.

I was looking for some negative reviews. lol couldn't really find any. I guess you lose that much money if you screw up but if you spent 400 bucks on your own products thats just that many more coatings right?

I know you said buff it off but if its clear then what do you buff off?

if you can't see a problem, then you dont have one.

When you screw up ceramic coating, it's not clear. There's texture and it's visible.

If the coating is not uniform you can get hardened high spots which look darker than other areas. A polish will have to be usd to rectify and sart over. This presents itself on darker cars, like the dark Gray on the C7.
