No interior lights & car won't start.

When to the grocery store and when I came out and tried to start the car nothing. No interior lights on the dash panel. Car wouldn't start with the key fob. Could not even call On Star because all the On Star lights in the mirror were not on. Thought I might have a dead battery but could turn the head lights on. Finally after about 15 minutes of frustration the car suddenly started. Have no idea what might have caused this problem. I'm afraid it might happen again. Any ideas of what would have caused this problem.

Has the car been modified including aftermarket LED lighting or audio upgrades?

It's the new GM "missing groceries reminder" feature, you must've forgotten to get milk for the cats—pardon, beer to put in the man cave fridge

Check the battery in your key fob... i bet it needs replacing. Just had to do it on my 2016 key

100% agree

If you're ever in this situation again, place the key fob in the cupholder. If this allows the car to start, it's definitely your key fob battery.

just like paintslinger said, check your connections. start on your battery, they go loose from time to time. and also, like ctrlz said, if you have the aftermarket taillights, you should really need to check them if you just went to the grocery store and it drained it that much.
