I just installed ikon side skirts that were $155 shipped, I had to paint them but they look pretty good.

I have the ZL1 add-ons rock guards and 2nd Gen GM side skirts. They both have done the job so far.

Hey Z28pat. I have been looking at the IKON skirts as well. I like that they are ABS instead of Fiberglass. I also like that they can be removed and wont leave any visible holes.
How did you paint yours? Did a body shop do it? rattle can? What was your prep process?
I am also thinking about wrapping them. The bottom will take a beating of course.
Looked at a couple of YouTube vids. They used adhesive instead of the 3M tape to make the top bond and avoid gapping to the rocker. Which way did you go there. If using a high quality urethane adhesive, that stuff is going to be nigh impossible to remove later anyway, so not much better than holes.
The price is fantastic, but they need finish. So that will at least double the cost.
The ACS units are pricey for sure, but nowhere do I see someone saying "Meh, i don't really like them that much." LOL
I hate decisions

Hey dragon
I painted them with a rustoleum can , but I did clean them , sand them, And clear coated them. Multiple light coats of black, 4 or 5 I think.
I used 3m tape but have to adjust the front and rear a bit for a better fit , then I’ll leave it alone.

Nice, thanks. Keep us posted on the refit. An uneven gap will make me crazy. A consistent 1mm gap due to tape thickness, OK. No gap is better, but a consistent gap is way better than variable, especially over a short run. I would really like to see some high detail pics up and down your rockers to see what those units are capable of.

No rush, we all got life to do. But PM me if you get a chance to get some time out in the sun with them.

Okay got my EOS ZL1 style side skirts. Z28Pat I sent you a PM since you have the same ones asking about your install.

Have to say the EOS install instructions are confusing as hell. They include self tapping screws but then show pictures with 3M tape and rivets (but neither are included).

I have seen some videos where guys rivet theirs, some just used the screws , one guy only used the 3M tape. I guess they are all alternatives but the instructions are crap. No details, no explanation of how to line them up properly, nothing. I know it's not the hardest mod to do but EOS should spend just a bit of time providing a little more detail, nobody wants to screw up there car. Do I use 3M tape on the whole length or just a few spots, screws or rivets or a combination?

Anyone have any advice on the best method or combination of the above regarding installing the side skirts? I did note on the C7 forum someone added some flat washers to the screws seemed a good thing. Any advice is appreciated !

These are the ones I have:

How many cans of Satin did you use? Did you use a flat clear coat or what?

Great deal. I like those and I was going to do but the $$ was a little too much.

BMKY, Do you happen to remember how much you cut off? If you have a pic of the cut before mounting the skirts, I'd be most appreciative!! BTW, I think they came out great.

Thanks in advance for any guidance!

I did not use the skews in the package, but tri fold rivets.

I noticed horizontal rocker extensions behind the front wheels of the new GT500 and suspected they were there to cut down on rock chips on the rear 1/4 panels. Looks like I was right. Check out this video at the 9:14 mark.

Should be easy to fabricate and add to an existing side skirt.

Had my first track day with the side skits and was amazed by how much less track marks on the side panels in front of the rear wheels. This was using my wider 19" 305 square setup.
