These are inexpensive assembly line production cars, not show quality. For the performance we get and if they were produced overseas we would be spending 25 or 30% more.

To the OP, I think your car is 100% original, straight from the factory.
Your panels appear fine, "plastic" panels expand and contract. Panel gaps on these cars are much improved from the past. I have a 1994 z-28, no accidents, and panel gaps are much wider than my 2017 camaro. The 1994 has "plastic" front fenders and I have seen changes related to temperature when the car is out in the sun. |
