I had an occasional rattle coming from the rear of the car. Sometimes it sounded like it was coming from the trunk, sometime is sounded like it was coming from the rear seat. It also was mostly from the left side and only when hitting pot holes or going over rough railroad tracks.

I took to the dealer without much expectations. Well they found the problem! The muffler was hitting on a heat shield.

Problem solved.

Mine was the small clip where the rear seat snaps to the body.
