Looks like May 18th might be the "new" game day.

FCA announced they are starting production and the UAW is on board with it ATM.

GM has hinted at the same thing. As of yesterday, CHevy.com said there was no "official" date set yet.

So the 2020 will be a limited production run between the strike in 2019 and COVID in 2020. LOL, hadn't considered that aspect of it.

News for anyone wondering when factories may reopen, now to wait until GM sets actual date.

GM announced May 18 as the official day. So far, the union is cool with that....

The priority is supposed to be trucks though...

I saw that, but according to this mornings news, the plants in Michigan can reopen by the 11th, so hopefully that gives them a little lead to ramp up production

I put an order in late March for a 2020 LT1, and originally was supposed to be mid April for production, then June, and latest from my salesman is a TPW of 7/6. I've been wondering if that will stay the same now or not. I'm hoping! I was wondering if they would cancel it or push it back to 2021. But as of right now, it's still scheduled to be built!

Hopefully the target for them going back to work on the 18th holds!

I looked thru the news. Couldn't find anything on LGR opening.
The following are planned for restart:

Flint Assembly, where GM builds its Heavy-Duty Chevrolet Silverado
Fort Wayne Assembly, where GM builds the Chevrolet Silverado 1500
Arlington Assembly, where GM builds its Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban
Romulus Powertrain where GM builds its V6 engine for the Chevrolet Camaro, its small pickups, Cadillac sedans and XT5 SUV, GMC Acadia and the Chevrolet Blazer SUV built in Mexico.

I talked to my salesman yesterday. He said LGR isn't one of the plants opening on the 18th. No known start date for our plant....

I ordered 3/6 and had TPW of 3/30. No one has a clue what the new TPW is for mine (dealer or Chevrolet.com chat)

I'm about ready to tell them to mail me the parts and I'll assemble it myself!

Lol, I asked Becky recently if my status had updated, I had a TPW of 3/23, she said that once it reaches 3400 status it won't update the date, our cars would basically be in line to be built shortly after the plant reopens. I'm hanging on the edge of my seat waiting for news on Lansing

Ditto...since we're so close to being the first one produced on it opens, I'm kinda worried about getting the proverbial "Monday or Friday" car with all the warranty problems because everyone is more scared of catching the cooties than quality work.

Chatted w/ chevy.com this morning. They are clueless still as to when LGR is scheduled for restart.

It's getting a little annoying that no one has a clue, or won't communicate, what the plan is...
