ZL1 Collectors Edition Allocation + 30k markup

Title says it all. Got a call back from Parks Chevy in Kernersville that they received an allocation. They built it already with a 6 speed, moonroof and some carbon fiber on the hood. ~95 base + 30k ADM bringing the total to a whopping 125k. Even at 90k I could barely justify it.

And yeah I know most people's thoughts here on the ZL1 CE price not being worth it, but I really did want a CE to complete the package with my dads all original Year 1 Camaro. Just not in the cards and I'm cool with that.

Picking up my rapid blue '23 late next week anyway from Lawrence Chevy

That is ridiculous. I found a 2023 ZL1 at MSRP, $199 doc fee, no $ add ons. But had to go pick it up in South Dakota and drive back to Charlotte. Just got back from the road trip. Worth going the distance to secure one. It's going to get even crazier; so get them while you can.

Yeah the rapid blue I have in transit was MSRP. The $750 allowance covered the doc fees so out the door is 72k with tax, title, reg. It’s 500 miles from me (east of Charlotte) in PA, but I’m going to take the Shenandoah mountain pass to the Blue Ridge to get home. Can’t think of a better way to break in the engine.

Great to hear you getting your ZL1 and the nice road trip home. The car I picked up in S. Dakota has all the correct options and color, so I did not mind the fly and long drive back to have what I wanted. They also put PPF on the front end and that helped a lot. Yesterday just washed all the bugs off it and back to show room condition.

Enjoy the new ride. The ZL1 is a very special machine.

Yeah I haven't heard great things about them. I was also peeved that they actually built the car instead of letting the person with the allocation do the build. I don't want a moonroof and carbon fiber extras. That's just more money into their pockets at the end of the day.

Took Sharky from Fort Payne, AL to South Central NC. Pretty much straight across your face.

Funny true story about GOOGLE on that one! But left for another thread.

I'd love to hear that story, Fran, but that thread should be yours to create

Make sure they remove the shipping spacers before you pick it up!

Oh yes, that will be a very nice trip! I'm a little jealous.

I ordered a 2024 riptide blue ZL1, but have been trying to find an available Rapid Blue ZL1. That one at lawrence was one I called on, congrats! I found one in Connecticut, it's ETA is 7/10, I hope that is accurate!
