6.86@102.76 w/1.48 60ft 1/8 mile

[IMG][/IMG]Well I thought it would run faster and more mph but the head wind killed me again. I went to Eddyville Iowa today since the Stl psca race was cancelled do to bad weather. So I loaded and headed north where the weather was actually warmer then south of us. I made a bunch of passes and almost all were over 101, had 3 that were close to 103 but the 25 mph head and side wind just took its toll on all of us. My 60ft times were all 1.50 and below except my first pass where it spun and 1.54 60ft and also 6.97@97 mph which was pretty disappointing, but it all got better from there. I was just sure I could break into the 6.70s at 103 or 104 but DA was over 1300 almost all day and at one point on my last few runs were in the 1450 range and 68 degrees which was higher the predicted by the weather service. Anyway I was still faster on every pass then my best 6.99 and 101 mph, plus I bettered my 60ft by almost by nearly a tenth. Had 6.86, 6.88 on 3 passes, two 6.90's and 6.92. My last pass was 6.98@102 and it just didn't shift correctly on the 1-2 shift, it was late and sounded like it nicked the revlimiter. But can't complain, although I do but good day overall. I'll post my slips later. Plus I got warned not to come back with out a diaper under the oil pan since I ran faster then 6.99 and have a supercharger. Oh well.

I converted my 1/8 to 1/4 and would have been mid 10.60's@over 130. Conversion tables have been pretty accurate on my past ets at the track. Still haven't run 10.60's but will still dream about them tonight.

Congrats on your new best 1/8th with the Camaro.

Hadn't heard that diaper thing before. Was at the strip a couple weeks ago and there was an S197 Coyote with a big Procharger that the tech guys were looking over. Turned out you are supposed to wear an SFI jacket in a supercharged car and he had to borrow one.

Its an IHRA thing this year for 6.99 and faster late model cars. There is more there but just needs tuning at the track and I'm not smart enough to get that done. I'm more proud of the 60ft times almost then the ets and mph. The car leaves hard, but I'm probably gonna have to switch to drag radials to be able to run since that's one of the rules for NHRA and IHRA, no slicks and must be dot.

Sweet pass, it sucks that you only did the 1/8.

Fire jacket is only required for a vehicle with an aftermarket power adder, if your car came from the factory with one then you are good iirc

I should get a chance to run again next weekend for some 1/4 and and 1/8 if the weather is ok. Tired of the head winds that's for sure. I think it was 3640 with drag pack.

Seriously jealous of how often you get to the track - Great passes and hope to hook up at the track with you soon!
