after market tourque converter results?

i am wondering if anyone already had sticky tires added just a circle D converter?

what were the results? any before and after track times?

any tuning required? the 2017 has no a8 tuning available yet.

i am 99% certain i am having issues with my stock converter based on this thread http://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=470624 and i am trying to decide what my best option is. i have started to mod my car so it may not be a simple warranty fix.

Daniel is running a modded stock converter in his that Chris at Circle D did for him. he seems to be really happy with it.

I am experiencing all that same stuff that is in the thread you posted. Looks like I will be taking it back in again. Now is not the time for this. The weather is finally getting good.

I just did the circle D restalled converter on my A8.

So far so good. The car is having traction issues now though, but even with those the 60ft times are better and the downshifting and gear selection is better.

This is on a supercharged application BTW.

I would do it again tho if I had the option.

Mine is in the shop now for torque converter and a few other issues. I really started noticing issues badly this week so took it in. They're going to swap out the torque converter but, aren't they just replacing it with the same manufacturer's torque converter? Won't this happen again in another 7k-8k miles? I thought about the circle D but, the $1200+ price tag made me think warranty was a better first option.

well my torque converter warranty replacement was a bust. They said that if I were having a torque converter issue that my rpms would drop under load and they don't. So, I guess that's a good thing.
