1ss rear view mirror camera

I know the 1ss has the back up camera on the dash but does it have the rear view mirror camera?

I wish the 1SS came with blind spot monitoring. That's about the only 2SS option I wish my 1SS 1LE had. I'm spoiled by having it in other vehicles.

Just my opinion, the rearview camera mirror and blind spot monitoring make the jump to a 2SS worth it. It sure gives you more comfort with your surroundings, at least for me.

I think the rearview camera is cool but you get the regular backup camera with a 1SS. I don't think the rearview mirror and blindspot monitoring is worth $5000. It's easy enough to check your sides before you switch lanes and the view out of the back is fine IMO.

there is no real ability to head-check in a gen6 Camaro, so I live & die by the side mirror detectors, sigh.

I went 1LE instead of 2SS, I'd rather track than have monitors and video rear view mirrors. I'm good with not having any of those, never had them on anything before, don't need them now.

All personal choices, get what works for you.

Well, it's true that the C pillar is large and the quarter window tiny, but the front window is also very, very long, it gives you a pretty good angle, at least on your left.

The passenger side C pillar is the Achilles' heel of visibility in this car, there is a chunky blind spot there, but the object detector and the mirror display does help with that (and even this blind spot is really only a problem for me when I make a left turn at a specific angle and have to check traffic coming from the right).

I've been adjusting mirrors in all of my vehicles using the SAE method for a few years now. I swear by it now. No more blind spots. As soon as a vehicle exits out of the view of a side mirror, its in your rear view mirror... and vice versa.

The other day I stopped my car behind another car at a traffic light. I was surprised when I glanced at his left side mirror, saw his face and made eye contact. Then I realized this is one of those drivers who does not know how to adjust his mirrors. He has his left side mirror looking straight back, a little right even. He gave himself a huge blindspot and made his side mirror redundant with his center mirror.

I agree. And I was already used to a car with poor visibility on the sides and in the rear with my 350Z, so it didn't take me long to accumulate to the Camaro.

Is the “HD rear vision camera” the rear view camera? If so my 1SS 1LE will have it when delivered.
