street legal exhaust
Hi all,
I'm sure this has been talked about before. I have 2011 camaro ss ls3 manual. I'm looking for headers and cat back. First i'll be getting a tune after install. 2nd i would like it to be street legal meaning no deletes, will still need cats and mufflers. So questions like is is kooks really worth it over bbk for 500 bucks more, will different parts hook up fine like if i get bbk headers and a corsa cat back and so forth. is it even worth getting a cat back and maybe i should focus on just headers/cats? Does anyone have a good example of a full exhaust system in their ride? Fyi, does not need to meat california laws. Carb i'm still up in the air because i might move so not sure yet. Thank you, |

I had the full ARH system in mine with factory mufflers. It was nice

One of my friends has a 2012 SS with an LS3, 2.9 Whipple, cammed with the Kooks LT's, Hi-flow cats, into the stock exhaust and it sounds great!! You can stand right next to him with the car idling and chat, mine with the Corsa exhaust, nope. Really loud. His car sounds tame, sound wise, but you can hear the cam lope really well, when you romp on it, it can get pretty loud, and also he says it cruises quietly with no drone either..

Do cheaper Stainless Power longtubes and put the rest of your money into a Corss Xtreme catback. Do it once and be done.
