Powder coated OEM ZL1 wheels.

I can't wait to get these picked up today and onto the car. I never really cared for the gray wheels on a Nightfall car. I had them powder coated Mosaic Black to match the trim.

Figured I would ditch the junky Goodyear F1s while I was at it. Toyo R888R 315 rear, 305 front.

I'm in for the pics.

How much does powder coating a set of rims usually go for?

Where did you get those tires cus I can't find them in that size? Thanks. And what size tires did you go with please? 25's or 30's in the rear? I'm assuming you did 30's in the front?

That'll look great but not sure about the 305 on the front...Could be too wide and mess with TCS/Stability Ctrl/ABS...As well as being an unnecessary amount of rubber on the road that the car wasn't designed with in mind...

Powder coating should be less than $100 per..... Call around though. Those look outstanding, I assume this was black gloss? Or powder coating black, then followed by powder coating clear?

But be careful when you tighten.....

I'll let the OP speak for himself, but for daily driving the Michelin PS4S I put on is a far superior tire. Now, thats all relative to your application. I will agree that once warmed up the Goodyears perform well, especially at the track. As far as just jumping in car and driving, the PS4S has better dry traction, better wet traction and is much smoother and quieter. Just my opinion.....

R888R for a street tire? Or do you regularly and almost exclusively track the car?

Interesting choice on black wheels...seems like that train had left the station now that you can get black wheels on a Caravan from Dodge but post up some pictures so we can see the look when you're done.

Just from the limited seat time I've had on the set of PS4S I put on my ZL1 in November, I second your comments 100%.

I powered coated the OEM 10 spoke rims on my 2013 ZL1 gloss black. I loved the look, but one thing I discovered is that a gloss powder coated finish can easily scratch. Power coating is chip resistant but not necessarily scratch resistant. Use extreme care cleaning the wheels otherwise you'll end up with a lot of surface swirls and scratches. Especially noticeable in direct sunlight.
