You mean the hand brake? Just go in sport or track mode TCS off and than pedal to the metal.

Go in comp mode
Its easier with the manuals than the autos but it can be done Heck when I worked for ferrari the guys bet me I couldnt drift my 8500 lb dually They lost that bet . Helps if inflate the shit out of the rear tires ( to a safe level ) and have a little bit of water to play with right before you initiate the drift |

You own a Camaro and have no clue how to "drift" it without thinking you need an e brake? I assume you mean to just get sideways for a second and not actually be on a course drifting.
Its a stick... turn off all traction control. Rev it up, turn the wheel, dump clutch and go... |

What everyone else said. It has enough torque where you should be able to get it sliding by just smashing the gas lol

You don't need a hand brake to initiate the drift. At least not in the SS

Yeah and one more thing , unless you've drifted before , done donuts , or have done power sliding ( and counter steered ) do this on a private road ( thats very big and wide ) until you get the handle of it .
Practicing at an entrance to a school zone , wouldnt be a good idea. If you ARE a rookie. Then start out with donuts and get a handle on what the car likes ( understeer vs over steer ) depending on how you set the car up etc. and baby steps . If you have drag radials , take them off and run the rears at a high and safe pressure . Less is more in this case . |

This car is so easy to drift, just dump the clutch and turn the wheel a bit and you're sideways. Learn the throttle.. Once you're sideways, go on and off the throttle very lightly (clutch kick if you have to) to keep sideways.
Like others have said though, practice in a huge open and private area so you don't mess up your car or someone else's.

Two things to add to what others have said:
1. Since I see you are from the Great White North, a great way to practice is to wait for an inch or two of snow, and go to a closed parking lot. Much easier to initiate, and you can learn how to control and handle the drift at much lower speeds and power. 2. Go to a drifting event at your local track. Here is one near me that teaches you how to drift: http://summitpoint-raceway.com/programs/drift-nirvana/ |

So from my understanding..
1. Accelerate 2. Smash the clutch and turn slightly 3. Release the clutch, counter turn and accelerate some more? (what gears, rpms, do I smash the clutch at to start turning?) And yes I'll be doing this in Snow since I live in Canada
