are you wasting your money

the octane showdown, here it is. now you can judge from a point of knowledge instead of "what they said" facts.

I've read these things before. I'll admit, as much as I don't -think- I'm brainwashed on some things, I probably am. And honestly, if we were to really examine the things I waste my money on, I'd feel FUN deprived. In my feeble mind, I think vitamins and 91 CA octane help me, therefore, they do!

As they said in the video, the dyno is different than real life and they wouldn't us 87 on the street.

How many times are you going to keep posting this nonsense? Your last thread proved you wrong, but keep going with it.

Again, if you want to run your SS on 87 knock yourself out. My car made a substantial increase going from 93 to E60 minutes apart on the same Dyno, but hey it’s all myth according to you. Oh and E is CHEAPER than premium AND 87 where I go, so I guess I’m saving money.

Here we go again!
The tune matters.
So they said it...if it doesn't need the octane, higher octane won't make more power. The problem is some engines will knock if you put 87 in the tank, maybe not putting around, but put a strong load and you'll hear it right before the ECM pulls timing , reducing your power.
Not all engines can run on 87.

This thread has potential. Not nearly as good as the old gringo threads but the potential is there.

seems like most of the time people are lead by opinion and not fact. remember back in the day the oil additives that claimed more HP. even after waxing my car, it felt faster. but science knows better.

ALL factory equipped Camaros, NOT EXTREMELY modified WILL run perfectly and make their rated HP on regular. again, science vs opinion. WON'T make more HP on high octane.
