Afe vs BMR vs Eibach vs Phastek Springs vs oem 2018
Hi all,
I have a 2018 ZL1A10, it has the lower springa from factory, but I want to lower it a little more, I saw a few pictures and seems that the aftermarket springs do not reduce the height more than the oem 2018. Anyone made a comparation or have photos, I do not want to buy them and then do not see any change. Thank you!!! |

Eibach springs, very noticeable drop on my ZL1. Pics really don't do it justice...in person it is obviously less gap.
Car drives generally the same, slightly firmer. Zero issues, install took about 3 hours.

My 2017 looks exactly the same height as your car sakudog and the springs are factory. This is why I have help off on buying any brand of springs because the lowering claims seem to vary wildly.

I dunno, his car looks lower than a standard ZL1 to me, quite a bit lower than even the updated springs.
I've held off as well though for the same reasons. IMO a less than 1 inch drop isn't worth it, and I'm a bit disappointed that's really our only option. I'm considering just going with a set of coilovers, but I'm not sure it's worth losing MRC. |

I’m in the same boat. Wished they offered more lowering specially the fronts.

Interesting topic. I have an '18 on the way and I'm thinking BMR springs right off the bat, but they probably will only get .5" in of drop. I know that Phastek's package supposedly drops it pretty good but still probably under 1" on MRC cars.

I think the problem is that the development was made pbased on 2017 model spring, so then with 2018 oem springs there is no difference, I sent an email to eibach and h&r saying please revise them, but nobody answer...

From what ive seen none of the common spring options go much lower, if any, than a ZL1 with the updated springs.

Let's do this, take a picture of a tape measurer at the top of your fender, up through the center of the wheel. FR, RR, FR, RL and let's see what you have in ride height. Maybe your car is as low as mine stock, but I doubt it.

I put the car on the lift yesterday to adjust the Borla Exhaust, so the suspension is still compressing, I'll update the measurements next week after a few hundred miles.

First pic is front, second is rear. Looks like almost an inch lower in the rear but barely 1/2" in the front. I'm going to continue to hold off until there is a better option.
Edit: no idea why they are sideways... |

Mine is a '17 and definitely lower on Eibach springs. Looks perfect to me and I wouldn't want it any lower.
