2024 ZL1 1LE M6 delivered

I was able to identify where the 5 (at the time) M6 cars were going when we all learned about the 25 ZL1 1LE allocations dropping.

Phone calls were made to the 5 dealerships - 1 was already sold over sticker, 1 wasn't going to be sold until there was a VIN assigned, 1 was asking $25k over sticker, another already had offers of $15K and $20K over sticker - and hadn't decided to sell yet. The last dealership couldn't give me an answer if it was sold or not, said they would let me know the next day. Sure enough, the next day they called back (I was surprised), and said it was available. Another shock, after initially asking more than sticker, I was able to put down a deposit that day for sticker price. No add ons, no mark ups, just MSRP. My kudo's to Marine Chevrolet in Jacksonville NC - there are some good dealerships left in the world.

I picked the car up on December 11. Drove home (about 280 miles) and it's been in the garage since. Just had paint correction and ceramic coating yesterday.

Per the 2024 build information here on Camaro6, it 'was' the last 6 speed ZL1 1LE built....until the LAST Camaro was built. Fair enough I guess - why wouldnt the last one built be the best combo.

Great story, shows how perserverance pays off..sometimes I would venture a guess you are one of if no the only one to get one of these at MSRP.

Congratulations on obtaining this amazing automobile in the last hour.

Respect to the sales folks at Marine Chevrolet in Jacksonville, NC who decided that long term success and integrity is more important than scoring a quick buck. Oh, and they even gave you the (physical) build sheet, very nice

Congratulations! Sounds like Marine Chevrolet is a stand up dealership.

Holy cow what a steal, congrats!

Is it just the angle, or does the 2024 ZLE rear wing look different then the prior year wings?

Nice early Christmas gift!!! I just took mine out for a short drive today and I still have that same great feeling as when I first drove it. These are amazing cars

And huge kudos to the dealership. I’ll be moving to NC soon and they will be short listed for future purchases and service.

Wow...Beautiful car. Really worked out well for you. Pretty cool having the last ZL1 1LE built.

Kudos to your dealer. There certainly are many good dealers out there, but there are enough bad ones that it skews the perception of them. The dealer I bought my SS1LE from was very similar to yours. Sold for MSRP when others were marking up. No games, just a straightforward deal. I've bought 3 vehicles from them and it's always been straightforward, honest and fair. Its about the long term relationship.

As far as the factory making the last car the best they have to offer, that would be cool, but usually the last cars off the line are boring base models. I'm not exactly sure why, but I think it has to do with using up the specialty parts for the high option cars first. The last of the 3rd gen Camaros was an exception to this as it was a loaded up Z28, but that was only because the owner of that car was very persistent with calls to GM corporate and was able to make it to happen. Pretty cool story for those who are interested.
