Window tint pics? - Page 3

I went with 30% on sides sides and rear; windshield is not tinted.

There's absolutely no reason to not tint any car. Lol. Just go with whatever your state's legal limit is.

OP and I are in California. The California law states 70% on the front side windows...who even installs 70?!?!?! Might as well change the law to no tint on the side windows.

Windshield tinting is illegal just like Michigan.

To be fair, Michigan law states that you can have the top 4 inches of the front/side windows tinted. Like you said, hell with the law.

Damn, that sucks. I didn't know any state had made it illegal. I'm in Florida and it should be mandated by law to have it. I always put the top of the line 3M stuff on my cars the first week after I get them.

When the real feel is 102, we definitely need tint.

It's illegal on the front doors in a majority of states or it's severely limited to how dark you can go.

Kinda of a crappy angle but Xpel XR Black 35% on the sides and rear along with Xpel XR Plus 70% on the front windshield.

The sun only shines an average of 170 days a year in Michigan and due to it's distance from the equator it's like sun lite (get it, sun lite as in sunlight, oh never mind). I lived in Michigan for 43 years and still visit for the 3 week long summer season (for the last 18 years). I would be there right now if it wasn't Corona season. Can't say I miss the potholes. Tint would probably help with all the glare off the snow.

I'm OK with Michigan not having tint because we have no emissions and no front plate but damn, you FL people hit the trifecta!

I legitimately didn't know about the whole sunlight at the equator thing until I skimped on sunscreen in the Bahamas and got FRIED. That really is a totally different kind of sun.

I would go with what the tint law says you can have on your windows in California even if it is 70% to avoid being stopped by law enforcement. 70 percent is better than 0 percent in my opinion! We have 35% law here in Georgia which is what I have on my ZL1 but of course other people put darker tint on their windows and wonder why they get hassled by the cops and I know because I was one of those that got stopped about 20 years ago for having too dark a tint on the back window of my 1987 IROC Z28! It was either take it off or get a ticket so I took it off and got the legal tint put on.
