Notice how they tagged the line "Muscleville". They have good marketing...something Chevy Lacks. Chevy spends to much effort confusing model/trim names....instead of launching an effective ad campaign. Sad.

No, Dodge is selling Challengers first and foremost because of pricing, and second because of combination of muscle, practicality, and feel good package options (shaker, scat pack, etc.). They also paid a hefty CAFE fine last year as well and have crap for cash flow and profits. As a result, Dodge hasn't launched a new platform in 10+ years because they simply can't afford it. They "make it up with volume" and marketing.

On the other hand, Dodge is not dropping millions on NASCAR anymore, so they have plenty of marketing spend available for celebrity-laden TV ads to make their 10 year old platform look fun (and it works!)

True ...no new PF in 10 years but they are still selling quite well. They are doing something right. Chevy also needs to leave NASCAR. Whats the point. NASCAR used to be real stock cars you could buy off the show room floor and race on Sunday. That promoted the brand and sold cars. Nascar promotes nothing now but sponsors. How many people actually buy a car because it won a race yesterday at NASCAR? No one because the car that won the race no longer has a damn thing to do with any car you can actually buy. NASCAR is today is like Fake news.

I am now wishing GM would produce and “air” a Camaro TV commercial just so all the people on here who think they know more than true industry experts would see how little it would move sales. You’d all be very happy to see a bad a@@ commercial for the awesome Camaro, but GM would have lit a pile of cash on fire.

I agree I don't think it would help. I think alot of people just take out their frustrations on that because IMO GM's advertising(especially Chevrolet) is terrible.

I know people who still don't even know the Camaro is again being made. Of course it would help. A guy pulled up to me and asked me what I was driving I told him and he said he didn't know they were back. He gave me a thumbs up.
